Glaucoma
Dr. Norman M. Aquino currently serves as Chief of the Glaucoma Service of the American Eye Center. He is also Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Chief of the Glaucoma Service of the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital.
He received his medical education and completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at the Philippine General Hospital-University of the Philippines. He then completed fellowship training in glaucoma at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary–Harvard University.
He is an examiner of the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology and is Board Director of the South East Asian Glaucoma Interest Group (SEAGIG). He was a founding member and Past President of the Philippine Glaucoma Society and has served in the Executive Council of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Aquino continues to be invited as speaker and resource person in many local and regional meetings and scientific fora. His clinical interests in glaucoma include visual field testing, imaging, treatment modalities of refractive glaucoma, pediatric glaucoma, and glaucoma education and training.
