Retina and Vitreous

Dr. Arnold Salud has practiced as Vitreo-Retinal surgeon at the American Eye Center and with the Associated Eye Specialists since 1999.  He is an active consultant and co-chief of the Retina section at The Medical City and is a member of the faculty at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health.

He took his pre-med studies at the Ateneo de Manila University and obtained his Medical degree from the University of East. He proceeded to undergo his residency training in ophthalmology at the Philippine General Hospital, after which he pursued fellowship training in Diseases of the Retina and Vitreous at the same institution.  He augmented this with additional training in  vitreo-retinal surgery at Nagoya National Hospital in Japan.  Dr. Salud is a frequent speaker on retinal diseases locally and internationally, and serves on the Speakers Bureau of several ocular pharmaceutical firms.

He is a Founding member of the Vitreo-Retinal Society of the Philippines and at one time served as its Treasurer.  Other memberships include the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
